Haven’t posted anything this month as there hasn’t been a lot of stuff going on lately. Figure for months like these I will just post a little recap of what I have been up to.

As far as gaming goes I beat Bastion earlier this month which was fantastic. I really should have gotten around to playing it last year when it was released, it would have been very high on my list of favorite games of 2011. Started playing the Deus Ex Missing Link DLC as well. While it’s not as good as the full game, I’m still having some fun with it.

I have also gotten back into Magic this last weekend. Went to my first FNM in months last Friday with the new white Humans deck that I built (I picked up all the cards for this deck at Card Kingdom in Seattle. First time checking out the shop, it is very nice. If it were closer to me it would be my MTG destination for sure). I went 3-1, very close to winning that last match for a perfect night. I’m liking my deck so far, but I do miss how insanely fast my Tempered Steel deck won matches when I was playing last year. I also went to the midnight prerelease for Avacyn Restored at Exalted Games in Tacoma with a friend. Exalted is a nice shop, I think I will actually start heading over there more for FNM as the South Hill Mall shop gets too crowded and the prize support is nonexistent. Was a fun weekend of MTG.

Other than that, I have just been spending a lot of time over at plug.dj and on my music blog Wax Ramble.

Hopefully there will be a bit more to post about this next month!

Record Collection

Finally got around to doing some inventory of my small record collection. I’m really OCD about the stuff I own, so keeping track of these types of things is pretty common for me to do as you can see here and here for example. My collection is relatively small right now but it should continue to grow over time, especially now that I have my new website to inspire me to check out more stuff on wax.

Washington State 2012 Republican Caucus

I’m horrible at doing photoshop stuff, but this sums up how I feel about the caucus that will be happening later today. I’m not going to be participating as I feel that Ron Paul does not stand a chance in these primaries, considering Republican voters seem to hate him for no reason (I’d love to be proven wrong though!). It’s a shame Paul will not be making it to the general election, I really do believe that if he were given the chance to run against Obama, he would have a fairly decent chance at winning… Seeing how it’s a race between Romney and Santorum at this point, I’m confident in my belief that Obama will be getting 4 more years in the White House.

PDXLAN 19

Last November I went to my first PDXLAN (18.5), but this was my first time attending a main event. Had a really good time during my birthday weekend, this was easily one of the best LANs I have been to. Lots of awesome gaming, won some sweet prizes, and I got to hang out with some great people. Looking forward to attending PDXLAN 20 that is coming up in July!
